When good things happen...
I know this is very vain and perasan of me but i gotta wish myself ---->
HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY!
hehehe today is
MY day! oooh i'm finally 19 when nearly all the others are worrying about approaching the big 20. Still in a rather delighted mood right now, yesterday was not just great, it's totally awesome and fabulous!
A number of us met up for dinner at a japanese restaurant called Ajinoren, we (me, pyan, may) were late...er...blame it on the traffic. Anna, Szuen and Joa were all waiting impatiently and starvingly for us for nearly an hour i supposed, really so sorry.. what's more paiseh is that they haven't ordered cos they were waiting for me to order first, the dumb birthday girl la...ah such cultured friends i have. LOL. later chia and her bf, the most talked-about person of the week, Robert entered the restaurant. then after a while, pyan's bf came too. we waited quite long for our food, szuen was the hungriest but hers came last. later ade dropped by too! that's when they surprised me with the cake, i actually thought the reason szuen had gone away so long was to go to the washroom to, you know... hehehe. THANKS everyone for the lovely cake! yes, eventhough there's an ah-liannish flower on it but it's wht makes the cake lovely, really all thanks to anna! and on that very same night, we found out something new, something we had never regard ourselves to be. We are mean, sarcastic, retarded and everything nice...
finally we decided to leave the restaurant, i'm pretty sure the people in the restaurant were damn glad about it, maybe they even had their little celebration after we left. Imagine 8 mgsians grouped together in a small restaurant, noise pollution is all that you will ever get. Giving in to our current obsession of Orh Chien (fried oyster), we drove all the way to town near yan's hse to try lyn's recommendation. But unfortunately i think we got the wrong stall, because the fried oyster was not very nice, even 'nice' is overrated. we didn't manage to finish it. we went on and on talking abt everything, ghost stories, old classmates, old stuffs and new stuffs haha.
thanks guys! all of you have made my birthday unforgetable!
thanks for everything...especially to those who suggested and organised it (anna n may). terima kasih! xie xie! dor jeh! arigatou! kamsiah! grazie! gracias! obrigado! merci!

Memorable vacation - Part 2
here it is, the rest of the story. We thought we had better go see a doctor in case it wasn't jus a mild food poisoning. my friend drove us to this hospital called Southern Hospital, once reached, we walked straight into the emergency section. Mel, Jolene and i were the first 3 people to arrive at the hospital while Daniel drove back to get the rest. We told the doctor that we were not the only few, there were 3 more people on the way, and he was alarmed. haha the people there kept asking where we ate and all, but as far as i know, no action was taken. The doc wanted us to be put on drip. Jo and I insisted that we were perfectly okie to escape the drip, hehe. No, we are no scaredy-cats, it was painful lah.... so after lying there for 3 or more hours, we were finally allowed to be discharged.
daniel called his cousin to fetch us back to his house cos one car wasn't enough for all of us. there we looked like half-dead, his aunt even cooked porridge for all of us (really paiseh), then we bathe and hang around in the living room, soon after his parents n little 2-year old brother came back. Gosh his brother was sooooo adorable! Just so very cute....hehe...later he brought us to the portuguese settlement where we walked around, most of the houses there were over-decorated with lights and streamers. then it was time for us to board the bus at 10pm. thanked daniel and off we go.
so glad to be back here once again.....the malacca trip was overall 70%good and 30%jinxed..but i wouldn't deny we did had a pretty good time chatting at night and for discovering that my misconception towards a friend had changed. it's not really that bad. it's cool, it's funny and definitely unpredictable.
hey, you do not always have the opportunity to go through food poisoning with a bunch of crazy friends, right?

Annual gathering turned to a hospital visit
again, another year has passed by and it's time for a reunion in december! this time it's malacca....so who went? me, may, joa, yan, whoi, jolene, mel, chiew....we departed on the 13th fr kl and reached malacca after 2 hours. took a cab to the resort jolene's mom reserved for us, thanks to her mom, it's free! it's located in ayer keroh, being unfamiliar to dis new place, we were kinda lost hehe.. the next day we got our way to town where all those historical architectures stood proud. walked around nearly every route there is, visited and took lots of pictures....ChristChurch, Jonker Walk, and etc...... Chicken rice ball, chendol, nyonya laksa, baba laksa, some snacks, nyonya food for dinner (the best kapitan chicken)...tasted all these in one single day.
here comes the epitome of the trip! on our very last day, we had a 12pm bus to catch back to penang, chiew boarded the bus to sg. so in the morning, my friend offered to fetch us to Malacca Sentral and before that he suggested a certain famous mee goreng somewhere nearby Seri Costa Hotel which happened to be closed. So then we just simply walked into an ordinary looking coffee shop for breakfast. ordered fried rice, 5 of us did so. i ate like a quarter and my friend helped finish like 3/4 of it. then he drove us to sentral and that's when me n mel started rushing to the washroom to puke! found jolene there already vomitting! we can't hold back anymore seeing all the cubicles were taken so we just puke all over the basins. pity those loud-mouth janitors who were cursing and shouting at us like we did it on purpose, ignore ignore....vomitted twice in there, then 3 of us sat down and started a vomitting marathon with a bunch of plastic bags clutched tightly in our hands. the rest had to take care of our bags, my friend n joa went to get us some medication...when they got back, it was joa's turn...later on, yan felt sick too...we didn't think we could endure the 7-hour journey back to penang in this kind of state, so we requested for a change of tickets to 10pm. fortunately they agreed to change them but whoi said she wanted to return so she went back alone. with so many of us sick, my friend and pmay were the only healthy ones left...lol, they had to take care of so many of us, i do agree that seeing us all looking sick and weak at the same time is kinda hilarious.
dis is getting too long, there are more but now's not the time...

it's over...
Third semester finally ended with my final paper, Web Page Design. Damn, regretting all those time spent worrying about a new place to move into and not revising for exams. hopefully and pray hard that i will make it through this time cos i sure as hell do not wanna end up prolonging my time here in college for another sem.
Exams aside, we have found our room, i'm sharing with another 2 friends. yes i know it sounds a little overcrowded for 3 persons to be in a room, but hey its a masterbedroom and well, rent ain't cheap in pj. so gotta bear the not-so-much privacy and tolerate with each other at times. Did i also mention that our other 3 housemates are China girls studying in Stamford? yea, staying with them would be really awkward, i'm not too fond on living with foreign people, but we got no choice since our supposedly future housemates, the 3 fickleminded dicks can't decide what they want so we ended up screwing the chances of renting 2 furnished apartments. in the end, after taking so much shit from one of them, we just opt for a split! we are on our own.
utar is gonna open on the 3rd of January, orientation bullshit and all, not feeling keen on going.....shucks i want a longer holidays!
