beeZie beeZie week
Looking like a mess at work now. Woke up late this morning, still looking very sleepy like i've just gotten out of bed. luckily nobody really cares at work cos most of them look as though they haven't slept for an entire week anyway.
This week have been and going to be a busy one. There's a line-up of events for the entire week at Mxs.
First, we had the Opening Ceremony of the new Mxs learning centre, then on the same night, there's the CEO's farewell party, and then for 3 days straight, our team is gonna give out career talks to internal staff. But.....
Yesterday was the best day among all the days I've worked here. Really great! Had a fantastic time due to several reasons. Not gonna elaborate until later posts. :p

Bad news for ML
Baboon called while i was on my way to the elevator at my apartment block, just to say 'hi' she said. Ok. One hour later, walked into my room, checked my handphone and saw missed calls and an sms. Anne wanted to treat all of us to a meal at TGIF. WHAT? I was actually thinking no way she's so nice, i mean for all of us? No matter how nice you are, you won't treat 10people to a dinner at TGI Friday's! Suspected something wasn't right. After thinking for sometime, i decided to rush there (reason being out of curiosity, not becos i 'tam chiak' lah), although i was quite hungry i have to admit.
In the bus, i kept messaging Baboon to tell me the real purpose for the gathering. Finally she gave in and said Anne won't be wid ML anymore. WTH? ML's hers what?!? When i reach, it was awkward, everyone was quiet, it's not right, ML ppl were seldom quiet. Taking the right opportunity, i asked Rno about it and he told me someone else had bought over ML from AnneRajan cos the family will be moving to Doha.
Anne will no longer be our dear boss starting fr Aug, it's really a sad event cos she had been the best boss i've worked
with. Have you ever seen any boss who would actually mop or sweep the floor together with his/her staff? Well, Anne is this humble. She treats all her staff just like her friends, bringing us to each others' open houses during festive occasions.
This is definitely gonna be a big loss to ML staffs, for losing such nice bosses [Anne, Rajan, Chloe, Ciara & Auntie Kim "All the best "]

movie and ah-lian's stay-over
on Friday evening, finally watched Transformers! WOOHOOWOW! great movie! everyone should watch it even if you are not into action flicks. Shall recommend this to my dad, it'll probably be one of the few few few movies that he would not fall asleep halfway watching. Still, i must get the DVD cos i actually missed the first 30minutes into the movie. WhY?? because of work. didn't expect to finish so late....such is working life.
After the movie, met up wid Diane Lian Wong, yes Lian is her middle name. had dinner at the foodcourt with her and Cming. Two of them just met and for the first time since dunno how long ago, i haven't seen any one of them being so polite. well, not to me anyways. Then after dinner, we head back to KJ and waited for the damn bus for 1 full hour, even though the bus was parked just right there, it wouldnt budge.
so by the time we reached home, it's already quite late and I was dead tired. so went to bed early, cos i HAD to attend a children's workshop in the morning. zzZzzZ

9 - 6 job
9th July 2007, I've officially started working a full-time office work. Never thought this day would come so soon when my housemates and I actually sat down
after work and the topic of our conversation was
work! Oh, it's great that all 3 of us got industrial training, hmm guess there will be more work-related discussions at home lah. We were exchanging comments/views/info about both our jobs...woh how grown up have we become? It's weird, we are becoming working freaks. Hehe, I'm exaggerating of cos. I actually felt kinda 'small' in the office surrounded by so many other more mature people, I feel like a kid again among adults. I know i'm old enough to be categorised as an adult but it's amazing how knowledgeable these people can be, with years and years of experience of the corporate world. One can never learn enough.
First day was a bit scary because i did not know what to expect, saw and got introduced to so many new faces i think i've forgotten most of their names, lousy memory mar. And today, it's the fifth day which concludes the entire first week of my internship. So I'll still have
6 more weeks to go.
Even though, I felt too young in there, it's fascinating how much i got to learn from them, how much that i would not be able to learn from just studying in uni for there is no realism to what they teach you in school. Everything is different in the outside world, scores and grades aren't everything but they do get you to where you want to be, anyway to stay and remain there, it's definitely a different story.

Reviving memories
14th July 2007 will be the day i witness my childhood idols, Michael Learns To Rock! Well, even though they may not be as charming and young as long long time ago, at least this once in my lifetime i get to watch their live performance, it is a childhood dream come true.
Still remember quite vividly how my sister and I would their cassette over and over again, (ya la that time was ages ago so we only used cassettes). I was only 11 years old and now 10 years later, i'm gonna haf a chance to watch their concert in Genting! haha, my sis will be so jealous i think she's gonna slap me when i brag to her next time.
Looking forward to their great songs on Saturday and also the aircond-like weather in Genting! Pray for no bright sun dat day. :P

Need more time at home
Yes it means I'm back in Penang for my study break, but what was i doing the past 8 days here? finished 2 chapters out of 14 chapters and had been going out nearly every day since the day i came back. I just cant say no to outings with frens. How often do i get to see them in one whole year? some only once, so how can i miss this opportunity rite? self-rationalization, i know. It's just so fun hanging out with high school mates, even if we just crap and talk nonsense most of the time, it was good crap. Since we left high school, I've kept in touch with those whom i really treasure and I'm really glad after 3 to 4 years, our friendship has been going pretty strong.
Every time we go out, it was nothing but fun. and now it's quite depressing to think about going back to KL on Monday. 2 and a half more days here and I'll be back to my other lifestyle there, my reluctance is a result of not knowing when i'll be back here again, not anytime soon till end of the year perhaps. Summore Jade is already in Pg and Lyn is coming back pretty soon too! I can only dream that i'll be free these few months.
On an unrelated note, good news! I am officially selected by Maxis as an intern, starting the week after finals. This is gonna be such a valuable experience, i just know it.

I'll end with a picture of my HaPPiE face.

Such luck
As usual, due to my 8am class, i'll wake up at 6 to catch the 7.15 bus to the station, the bus came on time and i thought today must be a good one since i will be reaching class on time too. Got into the train and that's when i was proven wrong. At Tmn Paramount, the train stopped for 20 minutes, with the doors wide opened, nobody knows the reason for the disruption. One lady smartly pointed out that this is how Putraline earns, by waiting till the train is filled up before proceeding to save cost. Well, erm....... .. ...wht an idea. Then again at Tmn Jaya, it stopped for 15 minutes, and then at Kerinchi/Universiti, stopped again. By the time i reached Bangsar, it was 8.45am. I'd spent an hour stuck inside the train, squeezed to the corner by this inconsiderate man who was trying to make himself comfortable. Hell, no one in that train was feeling good. Can u imagine early in the morning stuck in the lrt and stood for like an hour holding heavy textbooks with an aching back and legs? Torture! and i wonder how some ppl can sleep unmovingly standing.
Anyway, when i reached, the lecturer was halfway teaching so i did not interrupt as she made it clear she hated that so again i waited. Her mood wasn't so good as well, pulled such a long face when she talked to us and then at 12.30 she stomped out of class claiming that we did not show a willingness to learn and she wouldn't bother to make things easy for us in our finals. What was that? menopausal symptoms perhaps. Firstly, she said she will only discuss the answers next week but then she proceeded with them anyway. Secondly, due to that, none of us were prepared to answer hence the passiveness. Thirdly, it was already 12.30pm, class was supposed to end anyway. Simply do not understand her ridiculous demand. After she left the room with such anger, every one just turned to each other and laughed. kinda funny ok.
The freaking cold lecture room left me feeling cold the entire day, even with my sweater on. If i was already so cold, people with lower fat percentage in their bodies must be frozen by then.

back there
Guess what? I'm gonna work long-term part time in ML Jaya again. This time maybe for a couple of months or more, depending on how long i can hold on to. Well, only for the weekends both saturday and sunday since i will have 2 free weekdays, i guess i can choose to complete my work on those days IF i want to. So ya, full day on saturday and a half-day work on sunday.
Money gained from work will go to my savings...okie er...maybe 20% will be spent to reward myself but i shall splurge nothing more than that. Really really really in desperate need to keep some savings for lots of things planned. Like wht the elders always say, it's best to save for rainy days. But in my case, more unnecessary wants and outing plans. To some it might be an essential spending for fun, but to me with a tight budget to come by, it's something i can do without. Hey, surely won't mind the fun IF i had the money to begin with. Who would anyway?
Work it is then. Section14 as always. Old old friendly place.

Oh No.
It's happening again, isn't it? I've abandoned this blog for a long time, more than a month. Why? Never in the right mood. and yes again i'm sick of the layout and planning to do something about it in the near future. Sounds like never.
New short sem is here. Such reluctance to go back to uni to become a slave to assignments. That also explains why i had not touched my assignment during the hols which is due dis coming friday. Serves me right, then for all the procrastination. 4 more days to finish it. That's 96 hours. A full 2500-word case study. Good job, sim!
Another 'oh-no' would be my timetable. Tuesday lectures for HRM and Social Psych will be clashing. So which shall I attend? Neither! If only that's possible. A big headache when one takes up electives. And a bigger headache if one plans to minor cos one won't get to choose which subjects to take. So if a subject doesn't clash with another, it will be like a lottery win.

this minute this second
urhh! dunno what's wrong with the connection.waited so so ssssooo long for blogger page to load just so that i can sign in and add my entry. while waiting for it to fully load, i'm typing all this on notepad first.
How's everything back in kl? it has been so-so, nothing bad nothing great. However, i feel it's a lot better than before. what's that that is better remains something only I know. ok ok it's just a feeling. Last semester was not bad actually, working in PJ allowed me to get out of the hse more frequently than the sem before and it felt real good of course. but then again, it had not done too good to my studies.
damn the connection. now telling me that there's problem loading. streamyx sucks. okie back to me, i enrolled for 4 psych subjects this sem, hope that i can handle them, handling them also includes consistent revision and concentration in classes which i have yet to do until now. all the talk abt working harder for this and that is really me bullshiting myself. gotta stop saying out loud how i wanna try and work it out. despite all the worries and thoughts about performing better, i'm still a slacker with no determination and willpower for sure. what's my progress so far? hours of potato-couching watching "virtues of harmony 2".
- the end -
ps: this entry is written out of mere obligation to update my blog after nearly half a month. will follow up with a more meaningful post next. and let's not forget again that streamyx is the worst broadband service available in the country.

My big day
Turned 20 at my uncle's house in BM. No celebration at all for me, so sad one. haha. However, a week before my birthday my sister sponsored a
strawberry cheesecake for me. they planned for it to be an early birthday celebration for me but i didn't want anything troublesome so we just enjoyed the cake together at home. it's good enough, warm and happy.

On my birthday, the 23rd Dec Saturday 2006, everyone in the house was busy preparing for my cousin sister's wedding nite, i ended up in this restaurant somewhere in BM which served quite bad tasting food. uaakh! nobody enjoyed the food, after looking at the first appetizer dish, my appetite flew away instantly. So bored during the dinner that i camwhore with my sis and mom with my new phone. Here's the outcome:
Sis and I
me and mom
By the time dinner finished, we still gotta wait till all the guests leave before we made a move. But then, having a close relative marrying really made me feel like a VVIP, especially the treatment by other further relatives. Anyway, the workload continued the next day that was supposed to be the "real" day. the groom came to bring the bride back to his place. he was quite pitiful actually, he felt sick and was down with fever but had to endure the obstacles created by my cousin's noisy girl-friends somemore. They forced him to down a glass of lime + lemon juice, another glass of super-duper insanely sweet drink, 3 pieces of wasabi-spread biscuits and he had to answer some ridiculous questions and to perform a funny dance. Quite funny, so hard to marry, i was thinking what if he suddenly quit and said he doesn't wanna go ahead anymore? hehe just a thought, it would be really funny then. I got to witness the whole big crap plus the entire ceremony cos i was my uncle's assistant photographer. very the 'pa pai'. Didn't know until then that taking photos can be quite a tiring and energy-consuming job especially when you gotta run around making sure you get every shot. barely ate anything at all the whole morning and noon, the same with my uncle.
Conclusion: wedding preparation is not that easy, so far what i've seen scares me already. With all the funny and weird ceremonies and customs, really troublesome. Anyhow, it's still a happy occasion, so glad for my cousin, finally got to marry the man she loves. May they stay happily married for life.

Welcome 2007
01.01.07 is here! with just a blink of an eye, we've entered a whole new year once again. I dunno why but I kinda feel like 2006 passed by way much faster than the years before. Time is seeping by without me even noticing. Procrastination is deadly evil! It turns years into months, months into days, days into hours and even hours into minutes. Probably that's why i did not realise how time flies and then fails to be more productive than i should be.
Anyway, enough blahss... here to welcome the new year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007
What resolutions do i have for this new beginning? Hmm... let's see:
- work hard and earn my grades
- lose weight and stop whining
- be less lazy and start making an effort to keep in touch with more friends
- be thrifty and save more allowance
- let my dad win more lotteries so i can get more allowance
- meet more new friends and polish my social life
- have enough money to enjoy (eg: shopping, in-country vacation, food, fun) myself (contradicts #4 : so what?)
- must go Thailand, any part of it, even Hatyai counts
- before that, make passport first
- wanna go Singapore!
Oishey, that's all first lah for now. lastly, may i be blessed with stronger will power to accomplish all that in 2007. hehe.
Did not get to go out and celebrate new year's eve dis year. Was at home coughing and fever-ing away welcoming the year 2007 while my friends were out having fun at Queensbay, hor! But then nevermind, at least i still got to watch fireworks from my sister's bedroom window. So many places displayed fireworks, confirm Penangites are quite rich, from one place to another the display officially ended at around 12.20am.
Here's a random photo gotten from the web for my blog to celebrate also.

home sweet home
DEC 11 2006 -> finally home, took the 9.30am Konsortium bus with my 2 KL friends who decided to give ol'penang a visit (after all my bangga'ing abt my hometown). Stupid bus only managed to leave pudu at ard 10.05am. By the time we reached penang it was already like 3pm. Didn't even get to enjoy a good nap in the bus cos the seat was too hard and after awhile my neck hurt like shit, so the journey back wasn't pleasant at all.
BUT all the discomfort was paid off by mom's homecooked Hokkien Mee! I dun think i'll mind another trip on that darn bus if i'll be rewarded with my mom's cooking. Haven't had it for just 2 months plus but it feels like a whole damn year. Uh..i'm talking like she always add some addictive substance into the food making me showing withdrawal symptoms. Well, my 2 friends never tasted Penang Style Hokkien Mee before in their lives so it was pretty awesome for them too. (tsk tsk kl..kl...)

the start of a 3-week free time
i really have to stop starting my entries with "i'm back" or lines similar to that. i am aware that my blog is obviously very dead once in a while, it's just that i've lost interest in blogging mundane stuffs, no great ideas in my head so boring stuff is what u'll get.
FIRST one whole long semester is over in HELP. finished. over. done. and of cos i'm back in home sweet home pearl of the orient. reached on saturday after 2 and a half months of not coming back, miss home family and friends a lot! not amny left in penang though but ade, pyan, mel, chung peh, jo will all b in penang! so lots of meeting up to do. too bad jade left without informing me, didn't even get to say goodbye to her.
heard many interesting gossips fr my parents n those kaypo friends too, hehe funny stories and all. maybe i'll tell some in my other upcoming entries. what is life without some gossips? right!? who doesn't do it? everyone does, and everyone is happily doing it as long as it does not harm anyone. lol. everytime i come home i'll be updated wid many interesting, fun, sad, weird stories by my family regarding neighbours, relatives and family friends. it's no wonder i'm born a kaypo-chi.

back in action
okie fine, not much action but at least i'm updating. haven't had the mood to write ever since moving to HELP, i wonder why. might b the sudden change of environment and housemates i guess. i know i memang not very good at changes and adapting to new places so it was not easy lah.
what's new after moving? basically everything! the people i live wid now are actually ex-classmates fr primary AND secondary schools, imagine how many years i've been seeing them, it's definitely weird that i have to see them nearly 24/7 now. gotten an entire room to myself, no room mate, considering i've always shared a room with someone else since coming to kl, i'm grateful in this sense. it's always nice to have a little privacy at times and having a single room allows much much much more privacy to me. college is different for certain, i barely know anyone in this new place, so hard to make new friends, tough time, i dun fancy always having to switch to a new environment and start from scratch, it's really tiring and this is like the third time in 1 and a half years! i prefer ppl that i've grown familiar with, in TAR college.... one more thing, means of transport to college is no longer my trusty legs, i tumpang housemates' cars.
there are actually plenty of things dat i can blog abt my so-called new life, not to say new as in turning over a new leaf or what not, it's new as in i see different ppl more frequently, i'm in a total stranger's uni, i'm staying in a different area, different lifestyle. too much to think abt if i were to continue typing, im lazy now, ending here, continuing in my next post, i kno i write boring stuffs, but i like to read my own bullshit, so hehe well, i'm mo liu....

oooooh aaaaaah
okie here goes, i'm updating my blog currently, this instant i'm half awake n sitting in front of the laptop typing away. the weather is soooo perfect for a nap but can't sleep cos gotta wait for the 'astro man'..hehe getting astro soon! whoo! in my room sucking on a mini magnum ice-cream, chatting wid venez, using wireless connection....
that's all for the updates, be sure to tune in from time to time.
ahhh sorry for the crappy entry, will write more details soon enough, when i feel like it.

too free
finally have some time for peace and rest in penang, jus finished this book. filled with intense curiosity and a good plot, definitely a good read, at least it succeeded in keeping me occupied for a couple of nights before bedtime.

on a totally unrelated issue, i had a bad tummy fr morning till an hour ago. blame the curry mee that sis bought for me. too much oil in the chilly, my stomach was in burning pain, can even feel the heat kindling stirring up a battle inside. it was really terrible, but, thanks to some chinese powder-like medication and parents' massages, i'm back on my feet. feels so good to have ppl caring for us when we are sick. :p

i am out
i'm now officially out of Utar, just received a letter from them confirming my withdrawal. no turning back now, like i have a choice. everything is practically settled over there (damansara). house rental is secured, electrical appliances r coming, furniture-seeking had been done by joa n xinch. there's no turning back indeed, unless i wanna get myself killed.
all may seem fine but it actually isn't. sumthing had to pop up and cause me to worry sick. while i was away in genting, dis officer from HELP taking care of loan department gave me a call. i was told my loan is for an entire year so while i am taking this loan i can't be applying other loans (ptptn) later on in september. dat's not what he told me during my interview. now where is their consistency in the procedure? he was encouraging me to apply for ptptn in september and here again tis officer is telling me i can't do that and haf to choose only one. she said to call me back again but it has been one whole week n i still have no news abt it. so i am certainly clueless and oh well, no matter what i still have to go through the risk of not getting the loan. to think about it, it was the same with studying in Utar, if without ptptn i wouldn't be able to continue, so why should i get so nervous about HELP, im actually in the same condition all over again. that's rather tiring. Anything regarding financial conflict is always tiring. 9 out of 10 times of the source of my problems remained to be monetary. i'm going there and that's all i better be thinking about. hope is always there if we choose to look in its direction.

kek khi like hell
FRUSTRATION! feel like scowling at anyone coming near me now. damn it. what's wrong with expressing opinion from my own perspectives?? i don't need some childish naive girl to come and tell me 'oh my, i think u are stereotyping more and more'. wtf! use another word lah! i'm so sick of ppl verballing the word 'stereotype'. they think it's cool is it when u kno some stupid term? well, i'm telling you it's not and i've known the word since i was in primary.
let me explode now please. i'm so geram i dunno where to start with. i'm feeling like such an idiot, when you know your facts are correct but a couple of people are telling you that you are not and they even add that you stereotyped, that's what bugs me now. i'm tremendously fuckingly extremely frustrated.
okie my psychology friends (joa, may, xinch), i have a question to ask. does studying psychology means you MUST polish your counselling skills? i believe it is useful but that wasn't even my opinion yet. i just commented on wht my lecturer is gonna do next semester, he said he will be teaching us social psychology by adding counselling techniques into it (presumably because he is a die-hard fan of counselling, he is a licensed counsellor, he has a Master in counselling). But i do not understand why in social psychology as a subject we can't even study the subject as it is, pure social psych, can't UTAR give the students a break, even in supposedly unrelated subjects, i can't get away with counselling. AND there are still other subjects of counselling for goodness' sake in that very semester. But my 2 lovely friends, after hearing wht i said, one saying that well mayb social psych and counselling are related that's why he will be doing that. as far as i know, when we learn social psych in pre-u there wasn't a word of counselling in the reference book. and she being the supreme rationale of my mind, says that i have stereotyped more and more WITH a concerned and tired look. shit you. the other start saying things like well we wanna study psychology, counselling is undeniably important also, u want to become a psychologist, you will be a therapist right? well therapist and counsellor is the same.
THEY FUCKINGLY DO NOT GET ME! Who in their right mind would say therapist and counsellor is the same? do they even know what the hell they are taking? im so damn annoyed, im pissed like shit! the person who said i stereotyped, well it's not the first time she said so, of cos she doesn't bother cos she 100% will be transferring because she too does not like counselling but how can a person like dat agrees that if you study psychology you have to know counselling?
yes learning counselling is an added advantage, but my point there wasn't about opposing counselling, i was saying that because i feel we have no room for other aspects of psychology because everything, every little hope of other aspects is drowned away with counselling stuffs. NO variety at all, and psychology is supposed to have a wide area.
HAHAH and therapist = counsellor? she wouldn't even listen to me when i said no, she showed me her ugly i-am-so-confident expression that i find no need to explain n let it be. im sick of ppl like this around me, for once i thought they are the only people who understand what i want but no i am wrong i guess. i was just stating all that personally as my own view on my own perspective, but it's either they took it personally or they feel that they are correct all the while. with this people around, the closest to me in utar actually, even with them, i guess i better remain silent or dumb next time. no more opinions from bsim in utar. no more.
