Merdeka eve
This was supposed to be posted up on the National Day but delayed delayed delayed and one month later, I am too lazy to try to describe what happened so photos are good to say a million words.
Flowers blooming in the night sky
Nice reddish fire, notice the little glowing worms.
Looked like lightning struck the fireworks at the same time
We were at The Curve on the eve of National Day to join in the crowd for countdown, but unfortunately, there wasn't any countdown due to bad time management on the event hostess' part. So we were greeted by the fireworks unaware, but it was amazing, took lots of videos of the beautiful fireworks, certainly one of the longest lasting firework session I've watched so far.
Diane and I
Before the curve we were at Midvalley, met up with Diane there then Pmay then PyanTLoon. Had dinner at Kimgary (ah lian must eat HongKong food ma). Soon, there were just the 3 of us, diane, pyan and I hanging out at Ikano, shopping. That's where we met Venez and her friends shopping as well, and Xinch and her friends shopping too. National Day had officially become a shopping frenzy for us all.
A good time spent, apart from all the jam, reached home ard 3am.

Slow-moving pekan
So I woke up late and called in sick yesterday. After apologising profusely to the store manager for pulling out on such a short notice, I was on my way to Kajang. Decided on a visit to Diane's lovely shelter located at a slow and steady town full of very very laidback residents.
So here I am, 10.30am now and still in
Kajang.

Bored, Hungry, Sleepy
I'm being a brat, there's nothing interesting to do (no important work at all to be exact), beginning to feel hungry, and I could do with some sleep now. Today has been the day with the least job almost null, apart from shredding papers, and having no work does not equal to joy, it's plain boring. since 9.30am this morning, I've been sitting at my desk, listening to songs and chatting while surfing blogs. it's okie that I'm unproductive but it's even more tiring than having some extra work to do. Feel lost on the Internet, reading celeb sites, gossips, blogs and visiting facebook.
it's freaking cold as well, and i believe Pmay is experiencing the same or maybe lower temperature there at her office. HAHA. okay i know. I'm so mo liu. Shall stop complaining. and spend the next 30minutes here quietly. Must appreciate my time here, eventhough it's ridiculously boring and time-wasting, for THIS is my last week, another 3 days before i officially leave the building. They better prepare a nice sweet testimonial for me!

Fab Saturday
Last weekend, I'd decided to return to Penang to meet up with friends who are back. So after work, I'd to rush to Pudu to board a bus but little did i know that it was that difficult to get a bus ticket home on Fridays. Pudu was crowded with ppl eager to rush back to their hometown. Konsortium had obviously sold all their available tickets, and that's like the only bus i take usually. So i had no choice but to settle for an almost unknown bus, risky but i just wanna get home. From the promised time 7.30pm, the bus only appeared at ard 9pm. It was insane and not to mention the bus was creepy, in a mess with torn curtains and faulty seats. Argh barely moved in the bus, no more next time. Anyway i reached penang at 2am, the latest i've ever arrived in a bus.
Did not even have the chance to talk to mom until the next night, when she returned from work. I think this trip back, i saw my friends longer than her. My father was in a great mood, hehe bought me lots of fruits because i complained of constipation. My sister treated me like a princess, washed my clothes, swept and cleaned my room. Such a nice family i have. haha.
Had a nice outing on Saturday, met up wid Diane, Jade, Adel, Eileen and also Winnie. They were all still as insane as years back, especially Jade and Eileen. Those two just can't stop stepping on each other's tail. We made noise in Wong Kok like we owned it, ordering again and again, one small dish after another, a little memalukan saja.
Someone said we look like sisters......... o.ORecognize the glutton?

beeZie beeZie week
Looking like a mess at work now. Woke up late this morning, still looking very sleepy like i've just gotten out of bed. luckily nobody really cares at work cos most of them look as though they haven't slept for an entire week anyway.
This week have been and going to be a busy one. There's a line-up of events for the entire week at Mxs.
First, we had the Opening Ceremony of the new Mxs learning centre, then on the same night, there's the CEO's farewell party, and then for 3 days straight, our team is gonna give out career talks to internal staff. But.....
Yesterday was the best day among all the days I've worked here. Really great! Had a fantastic time due to several reasons. Not gonna elaborate until later posts. :p

The OC of Mxs Academy is finally here, 31st July 2007 at Plaza Sentral. All the preparation and hardwork finally paid off for everyone in the HR Division. It marked another good day for me, even 10times better than any other day at Mxs. Firstly, was given an F1 shirt which totally was irrelevant to the entire concept in my opinion but after learning the cost of the shirt due to the many embroidered logos on the sleeves, Mxs is definitely treating its staff like royalties.
Started off by having breakfast at Mcds KL Sentral with S and V. After that we headed straight to Level 3 to set up our booth and got ready to present the portal whenever guests visit (ours was the first stop of the floor). After the VIPs finally arrived and launched the academy (being VIPs, punctuality does not matter much) and were invited to enjoy their lunch in the VIP room (fine dining style).
While, the usual committee (moi included), had to have our lunch at the cafeteria area, food was not too bad actually. Then we were quite done for the day at Sentral. Packed our bags and booklets and we were ready to leave just before the VIPs depart. So being gracious hosts like we were, we waited for all of them to make their way through the exit and escalators first. However, our patience was repaid by crazily excellent food from Hilton!
Those kids from Cyberlinq actually got to dine in the VIP room, served with FRESH OYSTERS, LAMB SHANK, QUALITY ICECREAM, CREME BRULEE, DESSERT all types of mini cakes, FRESH OYSTERS, CHEESE CAKE, CHOC FUDGE CAKE, did i mention FRESH OYSTERS? Sorry but i only remember wht dessert they served cos i wasnot aiming for the main course, was too full from the previous meal.
So who can or will waste the chance of having fresh oysters away? Maybe some, but certainly not the HR team. Most of us were helping ourselves to the oysters while the waiters kept returning to refill the tray. really funny. A friend had 17 of them, insane! Zinc overload! and probably will be too 'active' at nite (aphrodisiac).
After that full meal, we were happily and contentedly leaving the centre in a big group to be back at Menara Mxs. To continue with some work unfortunately...AND also attend the Dato's farewell.

:) :) :)
A friend is back in penang! couldn't believe it for i didn't expect her to be back so soon. She's just gonna be here temporarily so now i'm considering returning to penang one fine weekend. Need time!
Life has been quite hectic since i started this internship, but it's a good feeling though. Not the kind of stress you get during examination period, this one is way better (I'm not feeling the working stress, yet). No reading into late nights required. About a month more to go, and certainly I would have learned a lot by then, not just procedures and paperwork but the corporate world and working ethics........and also how you can still make loads of money being unproductive.

Bad news for ML
Baboon called while i was on my way to the elevator at my apartment block, just to say 'hi' she said. Ok. One hour later, walked into my room, checked my handphone and saw missed calls and an sms. Anne wanted to treat all of us to a meal at TGIF. WHAT? I was actually thinking no way she's so nice, i mean for all of us? No matter how nice you are, you won't treat 10people to a dinner at TGI Friday's! Suspected something wasn't right. After thinking for sometime, i decided to rush there (reason being out of curiosity, not becos i 'tam chiak' lah), although i was quite hungry i have to admit.
In the bus, i kept messaging Baboon to tell me the real purpose for the gathering. Finally she gave in and said Anne won't be wid ML anymore. WTH? ML's hers what?!? When i reach, it was awkward, everyone was quiet, it's not right, ML ppl were seldom quiet. Taking the right opportunity, i asked Rno about it and he told me someone else had bought over ML from AnneRajan cos the family will be moving to Doha.
Anne will no longer be our dear boss starting fr Aug, it's really a sad event cos she had been the best boss i've worked
with. Have you ever seen any boss who would actually mop or sweep the floor together with his/her staff? Well, Anne is this humble. She treats all her staff just like her friends, bringing us to each others' open houses during festive occasions.
This is definitely gonna be a big loss to ML staffs, for losing such nice bosses [Anne, Rajan, Chloe, Ciara & Auntie Kim "All the best "]
